INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Before running the installation of this repack, make sure you have uninstalled all your Sims 2 games including their registry entries if any on your system, make sure there is no “EA Games” folder in your “Documents” folder (“My Documents” for XP users) after uninstalling your previous Sims 2 game because “EA Games” contains “The Sims 2” folder consisting of cache and mods from your previous game, which could cause the game to crash…
(For Avast users: disable DeepScreen in antivirus settings)
DISABLE YOUR ANTIVIRUS BEFORE RUNNING “Setup.exe” (IMPORTANT) because the antivirus will mark “setup” as a suspicious file, making it unable to run the installation or may run it but with some issues, same for uninstallation… After running the installation, click on ‘Configure’, specify the installation directory,, click next and next,, select the necessary software (Direct X [provided in the Redist folder]),, next again,, finally on ‘Install’… PLAY THE GAME FROM THE DESKTOP SHORTCUT using Run as Administrator….
Always open the game using “Run as Administrator” to avoid problems with crash/save
For the first time when you open the game, the game will take a while to start (black screen) and skip the intro video, be patient, next time it will start normally and quickly…. The game will always show the “Mansion and Garden Stuff” loading screen because this is the latest expansion, everything is included in it…… The first time you load each world, it takes a while to load, be patient, it’s like running 10 games at once (don’t assume it’s stuck) just wait and let it load…..

If it still crashes, lower the graphics settings in the game options and make sure you meet the system requirements. NOTE: Change the “Shadows” from high to low or medium via the Graphics/Performance options in the game, otherwise a black square will appear under your Sims instead of the inner shadows… If you can’t change the game resolution from 800×600 or whatever, read the provided “Reolution change.txt” text file to fix the problem…
