Seventeen-year-old Maja marries a fisherman Janni against her will. Her life in Stormskaret is full of challenges and setbacks. As a fisherman’s wife, she has to take care of herself and her family when her husband is at sea. This is the kind of film that wins the best film category in every competition it enters. It has been almost unnoticed by those who surprise. Placed in a historical context, so looking back, we see the children we once were. The story is told from a silent point of view with an attempt to bring out feelings that do not explode, they are repaired to stay with us and maintain bonds until death. There is folklore, mythology and neo-folklore emerging. Because cinema is a new way of telling stories. It is a must-see, intended for a mature viewer. I hope it will be noticed more.
