As the theological discussion takes a dark turn, the sisters are equally eager to leave. Heresy is an intense, chilling and terrifyingly honest discussion of the horrors of ideas. It’s exciting to see where each topic and twist leads the characters. I enjoyed the deep conversation about myth, choices, and uncomfortable topics like polygamy and Mormon underwear.
Hugh Grant (Mr
Reed) attended this world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Grant seemed to enjoy the quirky role of “bad guy” for him. He played well alongside Chloe East and Sophie Thatcher, both of whom were in the premiere, who all seemed to act with instinct and heart. East and Thatcher were once Mormons, and associated with certain elements of Mr.
No wonder they are so good
Grant Reed. “We have a lot in common,” Grant said of his character’s views on religion. They were channeling some of their life experiences. Excellent casting.
