Sawyer’s character was originally supposed to be an older, more elegant, suit-wearing urban con artist from Buffalo, NY.

But when Josh Holloway forgot a line during his audition and later kicked a chair and cursed loudly in frustration, the writers liked how it felt for Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as a more Southern, darker drifter. Jin and Sun are married and share the last name Kwon, which becomes a major plot point in the final season. However, when Koreans get married, the wife never takes her husband’s last name. In fact, in Korea, it’s not even allowed to marry with the same last name, except in rare circumstances…

The weird opening credits are from J.J. Abrams carrying a laptop in black and white as an homage to The Twilight Zone. I’ve watched a lot of TV in my life, maybe too much. But this is the best show I’ve seen in years.

You just never know what’s going to happen. It seems like every week the show will tell you something new about the island and its people. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what’s going to happen, then before I know it, the show is over and I have to wait to find out what happens next. Absolutely fascinating!
This show is amazing and I hope they keep it going because fantastic American shows often get cancelled because the ratings start to drop a bit or the managers feel they are too weird
I really hope the series continues so we can get it here in England because it is a fantastic show and I would love to have a DVD of this series so I can get all my friends involved too.
