TV adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complicated and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in the 1997 film Kiss the Girls and again. in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the titular character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and prompted Lionsgate to scrap its previously planned sequel Double Cross.
Well, this show not only met those expectations, it exceeded them in every way
loved it. I’ve been looking forward to it since I first heard about it, so I had pretty high expectations.

There was an Alex Cross movie that came out in 2012, starring Tyler Perry, that was awful. Please don’t let that put you off watching this as they are different in every way.
That movie was garbage, this series is fantastic
Another great adaptation for Amazon Prime, they have done an amazing job with their TV series adaptations (Reacher, Fallout, Lord of the Rings, Jack Ryan, The Boys, Bosch, The Wheel of Time, Daisy Jones and the Six, Good Omens, etc, etc.). Amazon has so much faith in this show that they have already renewed it for another season before the first episode has even aired..
