A retired CIA agent is hunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when he is unexpectedly visited by an unknown man after nearly three decades. in March due to government restrictions. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and subsequently received treatment.

After he recovered, the series went back into production. Bridges called the return a return after a "long weekend" in 2022 in July on the podcast. This show starts off super strong, with great action and a slow build-up to the story that keeps you hooked.
Lithgow and Bridges are excellent
Things don’t go so well when you get hit by Series 4. The Shawcat is a kind of boat anchor that delivers every line almost monotonously. Neither character is particularly lovable.
Especially bad copy
As the plot and action slow down after a few episodes, a lot of awkward dialogue fills its place. It seems clear that the writers tried to recreate the style of The Counselor, a script written by Cormac McCarthy, but they didn’t do such a great job. The more literary style of “The Counselor” confused many viewers.
